October brings the changing of the seasons and creates the perfect time of year to visit us at our last faire of the season. Make sure to make time in your plans for The Annual Carolina Renaissance Festival & Artisan Marketplace. This event takes place Saturdays and Sundays, October 2nd – November 21st.
Between the hours of 10 am and 5:30 pm rain or shine, you can take a step back in time and into a magical land of food and fun, merchants and knights, fairies and mermaids. Stroll through the renaissance period and enjoy the show!
From the Middleshire Grove to the Sherwood Stage you will find live acts taking place throughout the day. Bands, comedy acts, dance groups, and even pirates are sure to make you smile. Grab a drink or your favorite Faire snack and take in an act or two. You can find a map and the weekend events schedule here.
When you visit us in North Carolina you will find a 25- acre open-air outdoor village. We are tucked in a meadow beside a forest. From castles to cottages, kitchens, and pubs you will be immersed in the 16th Century European Marketplace. Find fine hand-made arts and crafts, artisan demonstrations, games, activities and rides. A full weekend of family fun awaits. To purchase tickets to the event click here.

Halloween Saftey Tips
Trick treating is a national pastime full of spooky, creepy fun. But we want to make sure the kids are staying safe. Here are a few tips for kids and adults to ensure that the only thing scary about this night is the costumes and haunted houses!
- Drive Safely! Kids are excited and distracted by decorations and candy. It is our responsibility to take the extra time to slow down and pay extra attention to crosswalks and medians.
- Dress Safely! If costumes are dark and spooky, add reflective neon wrist bands or necklaces, or reflective tape to trick or treat bags. Choose face paint over masks when possible to have unobstructed vision.
- Walk Safely! Always walk on sidewalks, crosswalks, and paths and wait for traffic signals! Put electronic devices down and be sure to make eye contact with drivers before crossing the street.
