This month I wanted to share something different with my newsletter readers. The last year and a half has been hard on all of us in so many different ways. Some of us have lost jobs, homes, or loved ones, and businesses have struggled. I hope the following story inspires you to spread a little bit of kindness to those around you because you never know what someone else is going through.
I stopped at a restaurant I visit every year when I get to North Carolina. As I sat by myself reading through all my shopping notes and eating I saw a guy, what looked like a dishwasher coming out looking for towels or something, but he just didn’t seem to be in a very good mood, and it showed. He had words on his lips, mumbling under his breath. He just seemed to be in a bad place and I wanted to do something about it and thought I should do something for him.
I wrote on a napkin “Thank you for all you do. I wanted you to know that I appreciate you. Keep up the good work” I folded it and slipped a $5 bill in it, then labeled at the bottom “This is an act of kindness, please pass it on.”
I asked the new waitress coming in for her shift, if she knew who that was, and asked if he was okay, he didn’t seem like he was having a good day. She said, “Him? He’s a Manager.” I said, “That’s the Manager?” At first, she said that he’s usually like that all the time, then corrected, but not all the time.
I told her, I know exactly how he feels because I used to get that way sometimes. Just make sure he gets this after I leave. She wondered what it was, and so I showed her. She said that was nice of me, and that she would pass it on. I told her I just want him to have a better day. Paid and walked out in tears because it affected me so much. We can’t always control the things around us, or how our hearts feel. I wish everyone could have a moment to help someone in those hard times.
Spread a little kindness to those around you especially as we head into the holiday season. We can all get through this!

New Product Spotlight: Odin’s Armpit Shampoo Bar and Beard Balm!

Smell godly, not ungodly with our top-selling Odin’s Armpit scent available in two new products. We added the fragrance of the fresh crisp woods of pine and birch, a dash of cinnamon, mixed with the breeze from the fjords of Norway to your daily routine. With the added scent of spices, this soap will make you want to go a Viking!
We can now welcome Beard Balm and a Shampoo Bar to our Odin’s Armpit collection.
Our Odin’s Armpit Beard Balm not only conditions and moisturizes, but it also works for light styling. Use a small dab and work throughout your beard and face for a light earthy fragrance that will leave your beard soft and conditioned. Hemp is a quick-absorbing oil and is a natural, healthy alternative to commercial conditioners.
Odin’s Armpit Shampoo Bar is full of cleaning power and moisturizing. We use coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil, palm oil, castor oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil. That’s seven ingredients to make our shampoo bars stand out and will feel different than your commercial shampoo. We use them ourselves and found them to use your own natural oils and keep your hair balanced. When washed twice my hair came out squeaky clean. We lightened up the scent so you can use it for your beard as well, and it will come out smelling great!
Three more weekends to go!!
