March is the welcoming of spring in most parts of the country. The snow was beautiful, but most of us are ready to see it depart. Time for Green Beer and kissing Leprechauns!
Kegan and I Love Saint Patrick’s Day! Shamrocks, green beer, and Irish food. Here is one of my favorite Irish soda bread recipes. I make with corn beef and cabbage. Enjoy!
Irish Soda Bread
Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- Optional 2 tbs of sugar and/or ½ cup raisins
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 3/4 cups buttermilk ( I use whole milk and sour it with a tablespoon of vinegar)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Spray a cookie sheet with vegetable oil.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, optional ingredients, and salt. Gradually stir in the buttermilk until the dough comes together in a slightly sticky ball.
- Make a few small round loaves from the dough, 2-4
- Cut an X into the dough with a sharp knife, about 1/4 of an inch deep.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until done and lightly brown. If you’re feeling creative, you can add your favorite dried herbs to the dough.

Like all of our products, we make this pain relieving blend from our own recipe box. We blend selected carrier oils that are absorbed into the skin quickly, for fast topical transmission of our full spectrum CBD for quick pain relief to muscles and joints. We add essential oils that fight inflammation and relieve pain. Lastly we add Arnica oil, a bright yellow flower from the sunflower family, found in mountainous regions of Europe. It is an excellent addition to our Essential Badger for relief from pain, bruising and inflammation. It also stimulates blood flow to injured areas to promote healing of damaged tissue.
Our CBD products are topical and will not cause the feeling of “being high”. Actually, all you will feel is great pain relief. Our CBD is from a small reputable grower in Colorado. We personally know this company and trust their products for reliability and safety. They use a Co2 process for extraction of the CBD that involves no harmful chemicals.
